Teen's Boyfriend Charged with 3 Counts of 1st Degree Murder
Earlier this week, a teenage girl, her younger sister and her mother were all found stabbed to death in their Morgan Park home. Now, the teen's boyfriend, 18 year old Denzel Pittman, is being charged with their murders.
Pittman was arrested not far from the crime scene with blood on his clothing. Neighbors had reported seeing him flee the scene after a heated argument with his girlfriend, 17 year old Jade Hannah. Police reports indicate that Pittman and Hannah were involved in an argument when he stabbed her. Her mother, Stacy Cochran-Hill, came to investigate the conflict, which is when Pittman stabbed her as well. He then went into the family's apartment and stabbed Hannah's 11 year old sister, Joi Cochran.
Pittman is being held in Wake County jail without bail. If he is convicted of these crimes, he faces a lifetime sentence in prison. He has a previously been charged with domestic battery and was also charged with felony weapons offenses after refusing to drop his gun when confronted by police back in June.
