Former Narcotics Officer Accused of Trafficking Drugs
54 year old Glenn Lewellen is a former narcotics officer who has recently been arrested for drug trafficking. When he worked for the police, he was known as an effective narcotics officer who had good informants. Now, he is facing other drug charges and questions about his help in large drug busts are coming to light. He has also been accused of framing a man and sending him to prison for 11 years. The man was released last May after the charges against Lewellen became known.
Lewellen was allegedly part of a large drug trafficking ring that is known for its brutality. According to sources, the drug ring has beaten, kidnapped and murdered multiple people. The drug ring apparently invested its profits into real estate. Lewellen owns a construction company called "Lewellen Home Builders," but it is not known whether this is where the money was invested.
Drug trafficking charges could send Lewellen to prison for decades and he will likely have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines and restitution.
