Mother and Two Daughters Found Stabbed to Death
Police are investigating a murder of a mother and her two daughters. 43 year old Stacey Cochran Hill and her children, 17 year old Jade Hannah and 11 year old Joi Cochran were all found dead in their apartment, having suffered multiple stab wounds.
The family lived on the 111000 block of South Bell Avenue. The mother was on disability leave after having had foot surgery; normally she worked as a patient intake specialist at the University of Chicago Hospital. Jade attended Morgan Park High School and Joi attended Roseland Christian School.
According to the police reports, the three were pronounced dead at the scene around 10:30 p.m. on Monday. They do not believe that this was a random killing, as there was no sign of break-in or robbery. The police have a person of interest whom they are questioning, but the relationship between the suspect and the Cochran's is unclear.
