Nine Arrests Made for Counterfeiting Apparel
Chicago police recently arrested nine men in connection with a large counterfeiting ring in suburbs throughout the Chicago area.
For several months police have been investigating a ring of counterfeit apparel businesses throughout Chicago. After conducting an extensive investigation and making multiple undercover purchases at each of the alleged counterfeiting business locations, detectives arrested nine men, two of whom now face multiple felony charges for selling and distributing counterfeit products. The other men face various misdemeanor charges.
Nearly $150,000 worth of counterfeit products were seized, totalling more than 4,000 items including shoes, purses, jackets and other apparel.
