Multiple Arrests Made in Connection with Chicago Murder Case
Officers with the Galesburg Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force are still searching for one fugitive suspect in connection to the murder of Jemell E. Ware.
According to press releases issued by both agencies, four suspects were apprehended last week: two 18-year-old males, a 21-year-old male, and a 46-year-old male. Two of the suspects were taken into custody in Chicago on Thursday by members of the task force. At this time, they are being held at the Cook County Jail until extradition and are facing charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm-accountability and first-degree murder-accountability.
Officers with the Galesburg Police Department took a third suspect into custody last week after receiving additional information about his whereabouts. He is currently being held at the Galesburg Public Safety Building and has been charged with aggravated discharge-accountability and first-degree murder-accountability. As soon as this suspect was taken into custody, he requested an attorney and refused to answer any additional questions.
