Police Capture Bank Robber
Although it took several weeks to gather enough evidence to bring him in, a man now faces multiple charges associated with the robbery of a bank in October.
News sources report that the Federal Bureau of Investigation worked with local police to gather evidence in the robbery. As a result of their joint investigation, the 28-year-old male was charged with one count of bank robbery, which is a felony in the state of Illinois. He was arrested last week without incident and is being held without bail.
On October 13th, the young man entered a bank in Carol Streams, Illinois and handed the teller a note demanding money. Although no weapon was actually observed during the robbery, the man was able to flee with $1,500 in cash. The FBI and police are working to determine whether the man could be connected to other bank robberies in the area as well.
