Area Man Arrested for the 65th Time
Although he is less than 30 years old, an Illinois man has already been arrested 65 times.
Police records show that the 27-year-old was arrested for the 65th time this week for the alleged assault of a woman and her child. The woman reported the abuse stating that the man choked and beat her, held a knife to her throat, and threatened to murder her children. When the man fell asleep later that night, she was able to escape and tell her story to police officers in Cook County.
Officers were able to detain and arrest the young man shortly after for the 65th time in his life. His previous arrests range from robbery and aggravated assault with a weapon to domestic battery causing bodily harm and reckless conduct. There was even one charge on his record for assaulting a police officer by spitting at him in the face.
He is currently being held on $300,000 bond, say area officers.
