Man Wanted in Shooting of His Ex-Girlfriend Arrested

A Chicago resident accused of shooting his ex- girlfriend in Joliet appeared in court today, a day after law enforcement arrested him on the South Side on an attempted murder warrant.

He appeared before Will County Circuit Court Judge Marzell Richardson via closed circuit television from the Will County Adult Detention Facility. The Judge assigned him a $10 million bail attached to the warrant.

He allegedly shot the 31 year old woman--with whom he has a son--several times around 7 a.m. Oct. 29 on the 800 block of Robin Lane. She was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in critical condition, but survived the attack.

He is scheduled to appear in Will County court Nov. 2 for a preliminary hearing.
