Two men wanted on outstanding warrants, including one for murder, were arrested after officers stopped a car they were traveling in for a routine traffic stop. The traffic stop happened on Oct. 15 I-290 at Laramie Avenue. The men were in a 2004 Buick driven by a third man of Chicago, as it was traveling eastbound on the Eisenhower Expressway, officers said.
A law enforcement officer was on routine patrol when he noticed that the vehicle had an improperly displayed registration and pulled over the vehicle, officers said.
After stopping the vehicle, law enforcement determined the driver was driving with a suspended license and the other men in the vehicle were questioned and identified by officers.
Law enforcement determined that one of the men was wanted for murder and the other was wanted for violating the conditions of his parole, officers said.
All 3 men were arrested.
