Man Critically injured after Being Shot in the Face

A man was critically injured after being shot in the face in the Park Manor neighborhood, officers said.

The shooting occurred at about 2:38 p.m. on the 6700 block of South Cottage Grove, said a member of the Chicago Police Department.

The man was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital. He was shot in the face, a law enforcement officer said.
