Tragic Collision Results in DUI Arrest

One woman was just weeks away from getting married when she caused a DUI accident that led to her own injuries plus those of the bicyclist.

After reviewing the police report, a judge ordered the woman be held on $200,000 bail. This, of course, came after she was released from a local hospital where she was treated for a fractured vertebra.

When officers tested her blood-alcohol level, they found that she registered a .201, well above the state's limit of 0.08. The woman later admitted to having as many as six vodka and water drinks before deciding to get behind the wheel.

As for the bicyclist, he suffered serious injuries as a result of the DUI accident. He is currently on a ventilator at a hospital and doctors have listed him as being in critical condition.
