Two Suspects Apprehended for Drug Offenses in Chicago
Two men were arrested near the city limits of Chicago, Illinois last week for possession of drugs and trafficking.
According to officers in Chicago and the city of Evanston, a search warrant was obtained after drug crime reports surfaced. Upon searching the suspects' house, officers found 23 bags of heroin, 7 bags of crack cocaine, 15 pills of a controlled substance, 35 pills used to cut cocaine and 500 dollars in cash.
The two men, ages 26 and 24, have since been taken into custody on a variety of charges. They now face one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, as well as five counts of unlawful possession of controlled substances. Additional charges could be added as the investigation against the two continues.
A third man was also taken into custody, but not on drug crimes charges. The 20-year-old was supposedly standing guard at the home and attempted to deny the officers access to the property. He has since been charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault to a peace officer.
